Description

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins are the ultimate comfort food, combining the sweetness of ripe bananas with rich, melty chocolate chips. These muffins are incredibly soft, moist, and bursting with flavor, making them a perfect breakfast treat or a satisfying snack any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin by lining it with muffin liners or greasing it lightly.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and oil (or melted butter) to the mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just blended; be careful not to overmix. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Fill each muffin cup two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
