- 1 cup chopped unsalted pistachios
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm milk and sugar in a bowl. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add eggs, melted butter, and activated yeast mixture; stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Mix chopped pistachios with cinnamon and honey for the filling.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread butter over it, sprinkle the nut mixture evenly, roll tightly into a log, and cut into equal pieces.
- Place buns cut-side up in a greased baking dish and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake buns for approximately 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle warm honey over baked buns while they cool slightly.
