  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  4. Add the cornstarch-water mixture to the sauce and stir until smooth.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken, coating thoroughly, then bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
