- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a bowl, mix buttermilk with half of the paprika and garlic powder. Soak chicken in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- On a plate, combine flour with remaining spices. Coat each piece of chicken thoroughly in the flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Fry chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and whisk in flour until bubbly. Gradually stir in broth and cream, simmering until thickened.
