Description

Ingredients

  • Penne pasta
  • Andouille sausage
  • Bell peppers (red and green)
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Heavy cream
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Gather and chop the bell peppers and onion.
  2. Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and reserve some pasta water.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until translucent, then add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Toss cooked pasta into the skillet with a splash of reserved pasta water, mixing until well combined.
