- 8 sheets phyllo dough
- 1 lb large shrimp, deveined
- 1 ripe avocado, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- ½ tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 3 tbsp olive oil (divided)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer three sheets of phyllo dough and cut them into squares. Press each square into a muffin tin, brushing olive oil between layers.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic in 1 tbsp olive oil until fragrant. Add shrimp seasoned with chili flakes and salt; cook until pink (3-4 minutes). Let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, combine diced avocado, lemon juice, chopped cilantro, and sautéed shrimp.
- Fill each phyllo cup with the mixture and garnish with extra cilantro or chili flakes. Serve immediately.
