Description

Spicy Shrimp & Avocado Phyllo Cups are a delicious, bite-sized appetizer that perfectly blends crispy pastry, zesty shrimp, and creamy avocado. Ideal for impressing guests at any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1 lb large shrimp, deveined
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer three sheets of phyllo dough and cut them into squares. Press each square into a muffin tin, brushing olive oil between layers.
  2. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic in 1 tbsp olive oil until fragrant. Add shrimp seasoned with chili flakes and salt; cook until pink (3-4 minutes). Let cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, combine diced avocado, lemon juice, chopped cilantro, and sautéed shrimp.
  5. Fill each phyllo cup with the mixture and garnish with extra cilantro or chili flakes. Serve immediately.
